The best Italian around. Great service whether dining in or taking out. I can make two meals out if the portions. Gift certificates are available also. Why go to a chain want a be Italian when you can get the real thing in LA.

I'm sorry ya'll but it's not a favorite for me and my family. There are so few places to eat in Lake Alfred and having just recently moved here from a large city I was excited to see what Lake Alfred, FL had to offer. After much debate we chose Luigi's (Authentic Itialian cuisne). We decided to look up the menu online. There was a large assortment of items to choose from. The deserts sounded so good we all werre excited to try it. I placed a call to order take out. They answered immedietly. However, the woman answering the phone did not speak English clear enough to take phone orders.I kept having to repeat myself and ask her to repeat what she was saying. Finally I ask for someone else. After a fairly long wait another employee answered and took our order and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. After waiting nearly 45 minutes, our order was ready. The cost was resonable, the inside was pleasant and the staff were friendly, although not overly helpful. Once home, we all dug in like starving wild people only to be greatly disappointed. The garlic knots were like rocks that could put holes in a wall and when ask for a description of a certain dish (mussels clams fish scallops and shrimp) the dish contained only four small shrimp and two scallops and the salad was soggy from the dressing. For the cost its a thumbs down for this family.

Excellent Italian restaurant in in Central Florida! We moved to Central Florida from NJ and were looking for a real Italian restaurant, and FINALLY found a good one at a reasonable price. The food and service is great, and the prices are very reasonable. Main courses like Chicken Parmesan, Picatta, Francese at $13. We came from NJ, and in my opinion must say that this place has the best Italian food in the central Orlando area. I had the Chicken Francese and it was great. The wait staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, and given us everything we asked for with fast service. Highly recommended!

We have been going back regularly and Luigi's remains consistent. The staff recognizes us now and knows what we like. The pasta dishes are all good and the vodka sause especially. I have a young daughter and the cheese ravioli remains a hit. The pizza is very good as well. I always go for the chicken francese or picatta. Pairs well with their house wines and the veggies are always fresh.

Small little place in the middle of no-where. Really good menu variety. Good sized pasta portions. Fresh bread had an interesting flavor to the crust... almost a pretzel type flavor but very good. Alfredo sauce a bit thin. Could have used more cheese in the recipe. Ambiance a bit loud. Only major complaint was the price. Way too high priced for Lake Alfred. Come on guys... seriously reconsider your prices.

Great dinner overall. Pizza and antipasto were okay. The meals we ordered were all excellent. Chicken parma, chicken Francaise, carbonara and gnocchi. Service was very good and quick. Call ahead and they will hold a table. Definitely will go back if we are in town.

This is simply a great little restaurant in a kind of out of the way area, off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. The food is delicious, the place is clean and the service is top notch. And, the prices are extremely affordable. Best Italian food in the Orlando area in my book. Go there! I have been there 15 times and never had a bad meal. Their chicken francese and parm is great.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
